Irene's Travels in Toronto.

Last Friday I traveled to and back from my cubicle. It was a one hour trip one way, due to a maintenance issue with a train somewhre on the line. Then 50 minutes back.

I got home at 6:30pm, and then headed out at 9:30pm to go to a comedy show with Judith Keenan of BookShorts, which is how I got to fall in love with NL in the first place. It was a benefit screening of Facebook of Revelations, a very funny show directed by Bruce Pirrie - partner of pilgrim Sue Kenney - and starring the Second Cit… Continue

Irene's cubicle

I've been doing a contract job in an office building that takes me just under an hour to get to. I live a one minute walk from the subway and it is a 2 minute walk to get to the office from the other subway station. So that's about 50 minutes of underground travel.

The office is in a building featuring sealed windows and over head fluorescent lights. My workstation is in the reception room, far removed from any windows.

Yes, yes. I am driving out in 2 weeks. Will be there a few days, then have to return to get my cats and flying out finally July 29th. Can't wait. It's to stay, though I may be back and forthing it a bit till I figure out how to get all my stuff out there.

I only heard about Lois when you sent out that last 48th newsblast. Geez - that's nuts. Don't know too many details about the accident, but am bummed that I won't be there for the 6th. Am glad that she's ok - and can't wait to see the series you come up with - the idea is hysterical.

Thanks for alerting me about the note. I'll go check it out.

See you in a few weeks :)

Are you coming here to NL soon? I've heard a rumour.... you have heard by the way that our friend Lois Brown was hit by a car in Vancouver? I was just up visiting with her (doing some shooting for the series we want to do) and she is in fine shape, but it's going to be several months before she's completely back to normal. When do you arrive - are you moving lock stock and barrel? By the way your friend Laura left a long note for you, but she posted it on her own page by mistake.... see you soon!

Thanks Irene! We had great fun last night (a little too much fun as I am rather hungover today!) and a lovely turnout, and really quite an elegant event. We missed having you there. Soon! Cheers, Rosemary
