Hi Jennifer - John Ashton and Jenina MacGillivray are coming in for a drink at my parent's house this Friday at 5:30 and just wondering if you would like to come as well. It is 189 Military road directly across from the Basilica. Hope you can make it - let me know! Cheers, Rosemary

Well that's amazing because I'm living in Toronto at the moment but will be in St. John's from the 21st to the 26th so will definitely have a chance to see John and indeed I'm sure my parents (who I'll be staying with) will be delighted to have him in for a drink - they live in the old BIS complex across from the Basilica and the most extraordinary views in the city. So glad you are enjoying the site and see you in October and please tell John I look forward to seeing him in SJ! Great! Cheers, Rosemary

Our name was inspired by a survey of elected women in governments worldwide showing Canada in the disappointing position of #48. And over the past two years we've dropped to 50 and risen to 47....
We're a politically motivated, artistically driven platform for feminists interested in challenging the status quo.
We invite filmmakers, artists and activists to express themselves and contribute their art and ideas.
We're committed to showcasing female artists and to connecting with women around the world.
We believe we have a responsibility to support womens' struggle for human rights and equality globally.
We also believe in using art and entertainment to mix it up in the political world.
Our logo is by young Newfoundland artist Isabelle Riche. Welcome!
