Feeler for a potential Women's Art Show / Event in Montreal

Hello,

It is a dream of mine to see a really awesome women's art show in the Montreal region that would include all artistic expressions. It would be an extraordinarily wonderful way of showcasing canadian women artists and it could also be used to help some women's groups, etc, through part of any profits from such an event.

It is a pleasure to add your contact in my "poor" friends list.
I do not get used this website often. I have to explore it and know the people involved in that yet.
I love your paintings, the firstone I saw "eat me" it is beatiful.
My blog and also my political group take inspiration from tha book "The Vagina Monologues". We call eachothers "vagina volante", in english flying pussy or flying vagina.

So I really appreciated your work..

un bacio,
lilly

Just added a few pics of my artwork, much of what you will see is part of a series of paintings i created while being inspired by Eve Ensler's * The Vagina Monologues * and which i exhibited at three different shows.
You will also see some past pieces that are varied as far as subject matter is concerned, please enjoy and if you wish, give me your feedback as it is appreciated.

in solidarity,

Joëlle

HOUSEKEEPING

Our name was inspired by a survey of elected women in governments worldwide showing Canada in the disappointing position of #48. And over the past two years we've dropped to 50 and risen to 47....
We're a politically motivated, artistically driven platform for feminists interested in challenging the status quo.
We invite filmmakers, artists and activists to express themselves and contribute their art and ideas.
We're committed to showcasing female artists and to connecting with women around the world.
We believe we have a responsibility to support womens' struggle for human rights and equality globally.
We also believe in using art and entertainment to mix it up in the political world.
Our logo is by young Newfoundland artist Isabelle Riche. Welcome!
Please drop me a line here, anytime!
Cheers, Rosemary
