Feeler for a potential Women's Art Show / Event in Montreal

Hello, It is a dream of mine to see a really awesome women's art show in the Montreal region that would include all artistic expressions. It would be an extraordinarily wonderful way of showcasing canadian women artists and it could also be used to help some women's groups, etc, through part of any profits from such an event. I'm posting this because, asides from 2 smaller shows i've had my art in over the past months, it's been something like 15 years since i've been involved in the art scene, and i'm loooooving it. What i'd really like to be part of is an all women's art show. Continue

Now, for me as an intersex born woman, i was more than a little apprehensive on how i'd be welcomed, even in the context of this workshop. I soon came to realize what it is to be eContinue

HOUSEKEEPING

Our name was inspired by a survey of elected women in governments worldwide showing Canada in the disappointing position of #48. And over the past two years we've dropped to 50 and risen to 47....
We're a politically motivated, artistically driven platform for feminists interested in challenging the status quo.
We invite filmmakers, artists and activists to express themselves and contribute their art and ideas.
We're committed to showcasing female artists and to connecting with women around the world.
We believe we have a responsibility to support womens' struggle for human rights and equality globally.
We also believe in using art and entertainment to mix it up in the political world.

Please drop me a line here, anytime!
